Salient- n. Something that projects outwards and upwards from its current surroundings.
Symbiotic- n. A relationship of mutual benefit of dependence.
Synergetic- adj. Working together, cooperating.
These words defined are the embodiment of what my service provides. A pattern of excellence that projects itself outward and upward from its current surroundings. Working together in a mutually beneficial relationship.
Emotions are the
KEY!
Substance abuse/dependency can be a debilitating experience that may invoke a feeling of despair or hitting bottom, when one has become powerless over
their issues and lifestyle has become unmanageable.
The core of these situations is the inability to manage emotions properly. It is the emotional connection that
constitutes a problem for one or an opportunity for development of character for another. Our goal is to promote objectivity in the mind by examining theories that could be beneficial to ones development.
Why Choose P.S.A.S.?.
The main reason to choose P.S.A.S. is because I am a mobile service. The lack of transportation or lack of license due to a DWI should not interfere with receiving paragon services. Services are primarily provided in the DFW area based on our main office location and satellite location for individuals with disabilities. P.S.A.S. will provide services outside of the DFW metroplex. Standard rates apply for services inside and outside the DFW metroplex. (PLEASE SEE THE RATES PORTION IN THE SECTION TITLED MORE FOR DETAILS)
Being able to meet with a person in their habitat allows for me as a clinician to identify with salient factors from environmental, socioeconomic, lack of resources and potential triggers to name a few that might be exacerbating conditions.
In addition to being a mobile service P.S.A.S. also has the ability to provide online closed sessions (individual or group) on request of the person.
By providing mobile, online and a physical location for services there are flexible hours available.

FOR PERSONS ON PROBATION AND PAROLE:
As a former probation officer there are certain vantage points that can be recognized by this therapist that can assist in addressing the needs of a client that might be on probation or parole. This type of symbiotic relationship is beneficial for the therapist, the field officer and the client to work in a synergetic manner and reduce the chance for recidivism.
FOR PERSONS WITH OUT OF STATE CRIMINAL CHARGES:
For clients that have received alcohol or drug charges in another state this therapist will communicate directly with the state and county of conviction to provide assessments/evaluations and recommendations for referrals or classes that need to be taken to accommodate any amount of educational hours that is required by that county. This therapist is familiar with ICOTS and the significant requirements that comes with providing services for these clients.
FOR PERSONS SEEKING TREATMENT/EDUCATIONAL SERVICES:
PSAS primary focus when it comes to therapy is to get someone to confront and recognize their inability to manage emotions that are promoting irrational beliefs. These are the beliefs that provoke high risk behaviors that motivate someone to use illegal/controlled substances in excess. We facilitate an atmosphere which would assist in generating outcomes for the client to produce positive emotions and character development.
